By plane

Santander Parayas International Airport has got regular flights from/to the following cities:

• Iberia: Madrid, Barcelone, Seville, Valencia, Alicante, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Málaga, Palma de Mallorca.
• Ryanair: Rome-Ciampino, London-Stansted, Frankfurt-Hahn, Milan-Bérgamo, Dublin, Madrid, Reus (Barcelone).

New connections to/from Brussels-Charleroi, Paris-Beauvois and Dusseldorf are planned during this 2008/9.

There is a bus service every fifteen minutes from the airport to the city center, taxi and four car rental offices in the airport. The city center is located 5 kms. away from the airport.

By car/bus

The Cantabrian motorway connects directly with the European highway system. Daily connections from/to Barcelone, Madrid, Bilbao, Paris, London and Brussels are available.

By train

Train connection is daily available from Madrid ("AVE": Spanish high speed trains, from Madrid to Valladolid and "Alvia" (medium speed) from Valladolid to Santander).

Ferry Pont Aven (Brittany Ferries) from/to Plymouth/Porstmouth (UK) to Santander once a week.
